How we make money
Our platform may receive advertising fees from some aged care providers. Sponsored content is clearly identified. Unless specifically disclosed otherwise, advertising arrangements do not influence our standard comparison methodology or Match Scores.
1. Paid comparison reports (paid by families)
The AI Aged Care Comparison Report costs AUD $25 for 72 hours of access and up to 5 reports. Searching, browsing ratings and our cost calculators stay free.
2. Advertising (paid by providers)
Providers can pay to advertise. Ads are always labelled "Sponsored" on the website and appear on a separate page headed "SPONSORED ADVERTISEMENT" in reports. Ads are chosen by location and campaign dates only, never by anyone's health or financial information. We never call an ad "recommended", "best", "top rated" or "editor's choice".
3. We don't pass on your details
We don't sell or forward your details to aged care homes, and homes don't pay us for introductions. If you'd like to talk to a home, contact it directly; its details are on My Aged Care.
4. Provider benchmark reports (paid by providers)
Providers can pay for private benchmark reports that compare their own homes with other services, using the same public data. Buying a benchmark has no effect on any public rating, ranking, Match Score or search result.
What money never changes
- Government Star Ratings and the data we show about a home
- The order of "best-rated" lists and search results
- Match Scores and shortlists in reports. These are calculated by code that has no access to advertising information (see the method)
